Greetings one and all! The great and powerful "Ambassador"
of the 2008 Pro Leisure Tours is planning a great weekend event for us
Thursday July 17 to Sunday July 20 in beautiful Long Beach, California.
Hotel
Marriott
Long Beach Hotel
The hotel is located 1/2 mile from the Long Beach Airport.
There is a block of 10 rooms (Six Kings, four with 2 Queens) reserved
under the "PLT" (Laurie McQuaid). They are reserved for the
nights of Thursday 7/17 until Sunday 7/20 in case people want to stay
to Monday. Rates are $129 + tax. The "old" people should try
their AARP discount. The pool is "bitchin". This infomation
about the pool was provided by the Ambassador which gives a hint of where
she grew up.
Airports
Long
Beach Airport is the closest airport, with others being Orange
County Airport (AKA John Wayne or Santa Ana) and Los
Angeles International Airpport (LAX). It is easier to navigate in
and out of Orange County Airport vs. LAX. Delta, American and JetBlue
fly into Long Beach Airport.

When You're Over 50...
1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
3. People call at 9 p.m. and ask, "Did I wake you?"
4. There's nothing left to learn the hard way.
5. Things you buy now won't wear out.
6. You can eat dinner at 4 p.m.
7. You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.
8. You get into a heated argument about pension plans.
9. You have a party and the neighbors don't even realize it.
10. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
